Mentoring Program

Welcome to “After Break Fast & Launch,” where you can Build Your Food Business with the Help of Seasoned, Like-Minded Entrepreneurs.
We have learned that together we are stronger! Most of the businesses here have been mentored through other programs, primarily through San Antonio’s Break Fast & Launch. Inspired by our own experiences, we want to offer our knowledge and tools to other small companies wishing to build a strong business with a long-lasting impact on our industry. This program is recommended as the next step for graduates of Break Fast & Launch.  
We offer FREE mentorship meetings with the mentor of your choice who can help guide and advise you on your next best moves:
  • Stephen Paprocki of Texas Black Gold Garlic
Stephen is the managing director of The CO-OP SA and runs a manufacturing company that creates and sells black garlic products. He is also a chef and the president of the nonprofit, Chef Cooperatives. His vast business knowledge includes aspects such as product development, production, scaling, diversifying, nonprofits, events, sourcing locally, farmers markets, local and national sales and more.
  • Cheri White of Deep River Specialty Foods
Cheri runs a specialty foods company and has a wide range of experience developing new products, cottage law, product testing such as PH levels and more.
  • Michael Grimes of The Beignet Stand
Michael Grimes is a dynamic chef with a breadth of know how that spans running a food truck, catering, menu development and more.
  • Marco Garcia of The Creative Mango
Marco is a graphics wizard who can help you navigate the nuances of branding your business, from labels to business cards and your company website.
  • Chris Cook of Special Leaf
Chris Cook is both a chef and an entrepreneur with a breadth of knowledge that spans cooking to bottling and building a business from the ground up.
  • Fernando Ortega of ILOVEACEITE US
A diverse entrepreneur, Fernando Ortega expanded his family business from overseas. He’s also a talented photographer.
